Rotary Club of Brazosport Donates $50,000 to Brazosport Health Foundation

The Rotary Club of Brazosport presented a check in the amount of $50,000 to the Brazosport Health Foundation’s Cornerstone of Caring Capital Campaign. The grant to the capital campaign was presented by Lisa Pauls, Rotary President and accepted by Al Guevara, President/CEO of Brazosport Regional Health System and Judith Pepper, Executive Director of Brazosport Health Foundation.

Rotary Clubs are neighbors and community leaders uniting for the common good. It is dedicated people who share a passion for both community service and friendship. Rotary’s help advances education through scholarships, creates lasting change in communities, applies unique solutions to social issues and much more.

"The Brazosport Rotary Club, celebrating its 60th anniversary, has long been a supporter of Brazosport Regional Health System. Over the years, the club has contributed to many projects and campaigns conducted by the hospital and the Brazosport Health Foundation. Club members believe in the importance of having a top-notch community hospital, and are proud to support the current capital campaign. When any of us need immediate medical attention, it is so comforting to know that BRHS is right here just a few minutes away and ready to provide the quality care we need," said Lisa Pauls, President of the Brazosport Rotary Club.

“Rotary is one of the country’s earliest service clubs – beginning in 1905, and we are proud to be a recipient of this $50,000 grant and to know Brazosport Rotary’s service is helping with the hospital’s campus upgrade to better serve the entire community,” explained Al Guevara.

To complete the $5 million Capital Campaign, Brazosport Health Foundation is seeking donations from other foundations, corporate industry partners and local community members. Brazosport Regional is a non-profit organization, donor support helps Brazosport Regional invest in advanced technology, equipment and facilities to provide each patient with excellent and compassionate care.
